Department of Immigration- The Transition to Cashless

In an effort to modernize immigration application processes, and to ensure greater efficiency and accountability, the Department of Immigration has eliminated cash payments at all locations.   

Now, if you are a customer at the Department of Immigration, you can pay for your application:

  • Online
  • At Omni Money Transfer and Payment Locations 
  • By Certified Cheque or Money Order – in office

If you have a Debit or Credit Card and intend to pay online:

You need: 

  1. Access to the internet
  2. An email address 
  3. Payment 

You can complete your payment online in 8 easy steps:

  1. Access the link sent to you in your email
  2. Enter Application ID number (this is the nine (9) digits number on your acceptance slip and or approval letter issued to you by the Department of Immigration)
  3. First Name, Last name
  4. Email Address
  5. Card Holder
  6. Credit Card Number
  7. CVV/CSC Number (Security code – the last three (3) digits at the back of your credit/debit card)
  8. Click Submit

If you do not have a Debit or Credit card or would prefer to pay using cash, you can make cash payments at any Omni Money Transfer and Cash locations. You will need: 

  1. Your approval letter or a copy of the email sent to you from
  2. Cash payment
